Shalom Harlow

Shalom Harlow was born in Oshawa, Ontario, the daughter of Sandi Herbert and David Harlow. Though her mother named her Shalom, meaning “peace” in Hebrew, her family is not Jewish. She was discovered at a Cure concert in Toronto and started modeling straight out of high school. She has since appeared on numerous magazine covers, been in shows for fashion designers such as Ralph Lauren and Donna Karan, appeared in movies and co-hosted MTV’s House of Style with fellow supermodel Amber Valletta. Harlow is the spokesperson for Chanel’s Coco fragrance. She has two younger brothers, Chris and Nathan.

In July 2007, earning at an estimated total of $2 million in the past 12 months, Forbes named her thirteenth in the list of the World’s 15 Top-Earning Supermodels.

In 2007, well into her thirties, she modeled for Jones New York, Tumi, Tiffany & Co, Nautica, and Chloé. The following year, she appeared in the Valentino Spring/Summer 2008 campaign.

Most recently she featured as the only model in a digital catwalk for Viktor & Rolfs Spring/Summer 2009 show.

ohhhhh, Shalom, wonderful woman! looks like a porcelain doll, I love her! and moving on to other topics, Eva: you could add something about Valerie Lohr?I thank you very much, now greetings from Catalonia, Spain (I miss Mexico so much)

Oh, isn’t she so delicate? I like her look a lot too.
As for Valerie, and so many others not here, it’s about the images.
There were a few models whose albums took over a year to build.
Anna Anderson, for example. I had 3 photos of her in the beginning and searched
endlessly until I was happy with it. Julie Wolfe, Eva Johanson… so many didn’t have
images until I searched for months and friends helped too.
As for Valerie, there just isn’t much out there. I want images and bios and that would
be very hard to do for some of the models.
    Sorry Claudia. :)

    oh, it’s a pity, but that’s ok, I understand

  6. Eva Voorhees says:

    Thanks for understanding, Claudia.
I’ve spent many 16-18 hour days working on SMI for 15 months
now, when I add more albums I have to make it easier
    on myself!

shalom is one of those models that you see esp in the 70’s and the 80’s and then will crop up on another ad and one will say I recognize her. She is yet another classic beauty often photographer with Amber V. She is pretty and yet sexy. Look at the images above and yes again i use to have each and everyone of these photos of Shalom
    LP

One of my all-time favourite models. Such a classic beauty, coupled with a lovely, long, and lean body.. She moved beautifully down the runway, she’s probably my favourite catwalker of all time, along with the great Pat Cleveland.

  10. Eva Voorhees says:

Shalom is one of my favorites too!
