Kim Alexis
Kim Alexis was born and reared in upstate New York. Always competitive, Kim was deeply involved in junior high and high school athletics, and is a marathoner. She originally had planned a career in pharmacology.
At the age of 18, she was “discovered” by the Elite Talent Agency. She soon moved to New York City and thus began an unbelievable career in the modeling industry.
Alexis was one of the top models of the 1980’s, identified along with Gia Carangi, Carol Alt, Christie Brinkley, Kelly Emberg, Iman, and Paulina Porizkova. In 1983 she became the face of Revlon’s premium Ultima II line, replacing Lauren Hutton. She was featured in countless TV and print ads, and graced the cover of over 500 magazines, not to mention six appearances in the coveted Sports Illustrated swimsuit issues. In fact, it’s as though the term “supermodel” was coined to describe her.
More than just a model, Kim parlayed her good looks and bright mind into other opportunities, including broadcast journalism, where she hosted several television shows on the Family Channel and Lifetime, as well as film and TV acting. She appeared in the 1998 movie Holy Man with Eddie Murphy. In 2005, she appeared on VH1’s reality competition “But Can They Sing?”
As her career has progressed, she’s never lost her love of fitness. In recent years, she’s focused on health and wellness issues for women, specifically by developing several fitness aids.
Kim is married to former New York Ranger Hockey Player Ron Duguay. To learn more about Ron, visit his Web site www.allstarshockey.com. Together with their five children, they live in beautiful North Florida.
Alexis is currently the host of a modeling competition reality show “She’s Got the Look” for TV Land.
I remember Kim in magazines very well and in my Scavullo book. I also saw her on TBN, ect. Gorgeous!
and yes, VERY health conscious/excercise!!! from all I have read.
Her Vogue, Mademoiselle, Self, Bazaar and Glamour covers are totally gorgeous.
I remember seeing her in one of the old Glamour mags when she got married for the first time. They had this spread about her getting readyto get married with other models. If memory serves me right Nancy Donahue was the other model. She looked incredible. The Cosmo covers are absolutely gorgeous. Who in the world looks like that?
Do you also know Kim Neblett? She did a lot of beauty editorials. Had perfect skin. That would be fun to have something on Kim. I bet very feel people know her name. Her boyfriend bought a Cosmo diet mag from me once. I think she has an acting studio somewhere in America.
Thanks Eva for your all comments. It is very considerate of you.
I will be listing a Vogue Uk March 1981 with you on the cover on Ebay this weekend. You look just fab. Therer is Lena, Esme and Nancy Deweir inside. Fab mags!

Oh, and yes, Kim is a FB friend of mine.

Hi! Kim Alexis is on here.
I will send you an email to write directly. That’s the cover I thought you were talking about. And, while I do have scans of Lena, most aren’t good quality. Lena was an amazing model and dear, sweet person-I’m always looking for her images. Thanks!
